Bill Payne, i2E’s lead Entrepreneur-in-Residence, teaches a workshop called Financing High-Impact Ventures to a group of entrepreneurs Wednesday at i2E’s Tulsa office. Despite a morning-long heavy snowfall, more than a dozen people attended the session that covered capital sources available to entrepreneurs, the importance of business plans, what fundable companies are, why advisors and board of directors are important to entrepreneurs and descriptions of term sheets and the valuation process. The workshop concluded with an exercise in which participants assessed funding potential of a company described in a case study.
