Showcase for entrepreneurs

Get in Touch

The 2012 Tulsa Global Entrepreneurship Week Innovation Forum brought three innovative entrepreneurs and an audience of about 50 people to i2E’s Tulsa office Wednesday afternoon.

The visitors watched as Spectrum FX founder Kent Faith lit a blow torch and put it against his forearm without harm. Spectrum FX is marketing a new fire suppression technology that can extinguish all forms of fire.

The Forum audience also heard presentations from a pair of Internet-based entrepreneurs who are working to turn the music industry and photo sharing businesses upside down.

Brady Deaton has taken the record label business model and put it all online in idefi music, complete with direct-to-fan sales by musicians and record and concert promotion for bands as their sales grow.  The company just came out of beta testing with about 200 musicians who are selling their music at idefmusic.com.

Meanwhile, Dustin Curzon has created a storytelling platform called Narrable that lets people easily add depth, context and perspective to their photos.  Users at narrable.com can combine their most important photos with the voices of people who give meaning to them.

After the presentations, speakers and audience introduced themselves to each other in a networking event that featured food, drink and two hours of terrific one-on-one conversation.
