A team of University of Tulsa students won the $30,000 top prize last week at the 2014 Donald W. Reynolds Tri-State Competition in Las Vegas.
Team Owlpal Healthcare members Jordy Albert and Mackenzie Ward pitched a business plan around monitoring technology for families of children with asthma. Ward also earned an additional $2,000 for winning the pitch competition in the undergraduate division.
Owlpal also won first place in the Oklahoma competition in April. Claire Cornell was the team’s faculty advisor.
