As Venture Advisor in i2E’s Oklahoma City office, Kevin supports overall business commercialization efforts. In general, he is responsible for identifying companies that can benefit from i2E advisory services, navigating them through the development pathway, and facilitating angel and venture capital financing where appropriate. Kevin’s role in working with clients includes: analyzing market opportunities, developing business strategies, honing in on competitive advantages, preparing investor presentations, modeling financial projections, and structuring capital raises.
Kevin is also the Manager of the SeedStep Angels. The SeedStep Angels is a network of SEC-accredited high net-worth Oklahomans who invest their time, talent and capital into companies with exciting high growth opportunities. As Manager, Kevin identifies screening opportunities across a diverse set of industry verticals, prepares companies to present to the group, coordinates due diligence and investment follow-up, and facilitates membership growth. He also works closely with angel networks from neighboring states to syndicate deal flow throughout the region.
Kevin brings a breadth of financial and technical skill sets, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail to this important position. Most recently he worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, as a Bank Examiner. He has applicable personal investment advisory experience spanning six years with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Northwestern Mutual.
Kevin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. Kevin is the founder and president of the Apollo Investment Club of Oklahoma City and the Icarus Program for Young Entrepreneurs and also serves as a board member for the Board of Trustees of the Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System. He is married with two children and resides in Oklahoma City.
