Gunsmithing is the manufacture and repair of rifles and handguns, and one of the top programs for teaching the craft is located at Murray State College, Tishomingo. Bryan Swanda, former Oklahoman and current chief gunsmith on the Animal Planet’s Wild West Alaska, is a graduate of the gunsmithing school at Murray State. The show features the staff and management of Jim West’s gun store located in Anchorage.
