One of the metro-area’s faster-growing beer tasting events is coming up soon, and it features quite the solid list of beer vendors.

The 2014 version of OKBio BrewFest is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The event was moved to the ballpark to allow for more space after last year’s event drew more than 350 at the Harn Homestead.

Organizers said the BrewFest is a main fundraiser for the OK Bioscience Association, which among other things provides scholarships for startups to attend the annual BIO International Convention each year.

Tickets for the event are $25 (or $15 for designated drivers) and include a 14 oz. Hall Estill BrewFest mug, a free BrewFest T-shirt to the first 300 registered, samples of local craft beer, wine and spirits and live entertainment with the Hosty Duo.

Here’s a list of vendors expected to take part:

-Anthem Brewing Co.
-Belle Isle Brewing Co.
-Black Mesa Brewing Co.
-Canadian River Winery
-Choc Beer Co.
-COOP Ale Works
-Elk Valley Brewing Co.
-Prairie Wolf Spirits
-Put A Cork In It Winery
-Red Earth Brewers
-Roughtail Brewing Co.
-Scissortail Distillery
-Strong Tonic
-TapWerks Ale House
-The Brew Shop
-Yeastie Boys

Even better, BrewFest organizers have provided yours truly with a pair of tickets to the event to give away to one lucky reader. So, check The Thirsty Beagle Facebook page on Friday morning for your chance to win free tix.
