Former Treasurer Scott Meacham was named president and chief executive officer Wednesday of i2E, Inc.
i2E provides venture advisory services, access to capital and entrepreneurial development programs to high growth businesses in Oklahoma. It receives state appropriated funding through the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology. Other funding comes from private and federal sources.
Meacham, who currentlty is a director with the Crowe & Dunlevy law firm and served as treasurer from 2005 to 2011, will become the organization’s fourth chief executive officer when he assumes those duties Jan. 1. He succeeds Tom Walker, who resigned from the post at the end of July to accept a similar position in Ohio.
