The i2E-managed StartOK Accelerator Fund recently closed a $250,000 investment in Tulsa’s 4DSales, creator of an innovative tablet application that helps sales professionals shorten the sales cycle. The i2E investment led a funding round of $500,000 and was joined by an angel investor.
The 4DSales application is designed specifically for Windows 8 or iPad tablets, allowing users to showcase products through live action videos, photos and PDFs of specifications. It already is used by sales representatives from multiple Oklahoma-based companies as well as national companies.
“We’re investing this capital to enhance our product suite to include an enterprise version and a subscription based offering of our Windows 8 and iPad-specific software,” said Brian Carpenter, 4DSales co-founder and CEO. “We’re also going to strengthen our marketing efforts to expand sales beyond Oklahoma.
“4DSales demonstrated that advanced technology developed and launched from the state of Oklahoma benefits companies around the globe.”
The StartOK Accelerator Fund is one of three Accelerate Oklahoma! investment vehicles created in 2011 by i2E through a partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the U.S. Treasury State Small Business Credit Initiative. The StartOK Accelerator Fund specifically targets opportunities to invest in companies at an early startup stage as they complete market launch and begin to capture initial revenue.
