BioSummit
March 24, 2016 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Biopharmaceutical companies are conducting clinical trials of new medicines in collaboration with clinical research centers, university medical schools and hospitals all across Oklahoma. Clinical trials generate the evidence needed to bring safe and effective medicines to patients.
This focused event will provide perspective on planning, implementation and oversight of clinical trials as well as information on resources and strategy. Our keynote speaker will highlight the value of clinical trials, and the impact they have on helping to develop the new drugs, devices, biologics, and treatments for the future, and improving the care of all Americans.
The BioScience Award’s Dinner honor outstanding contributions and accomplishments of individuals, companies and organizations that further the development in the biosciences industry in Oklahoma and around the world.
Featured speaker Suleika Jaouad is an Emmy Award-winning writer, advocate, public speaker and cancer survivor. She is the author of the acclaimed NY Times Well Column “Life, Interrupted” and video series. After three years of chemotherapy, a life-saving clinical trial and a bone marrow transplant, she is now in remission.
