Oklahoma’s Source for Make or Break Funding
The Technology Business Finance Program, or Concept Fund, provides pre-seed financing and early stage risk capital to advance scalable startup Oklahoma companies to prove new products and processes.
Funded through the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), these investment funds are provided in incremental stages based on pre-determined milestones and can be used for proof-of-concept, market validation, business planning, critical equipment purchase, human resource acquisition, and other business needs that lead to successful commercialization.
Each investment requires a one-to-one cash match. This type of investment serves as a facilitating effort to move the product or process forward towards the marketplace while overcoming current financial gaps, which, if not addressed, could prematurely stop commercialization or significantly slow the time to market by the entrepreneur.
