At i2E, we are proud of our clients who are thinking of ways to innovate.
Here are few of Oklahoma’s startups who are doing some interesting things in our state.

Threats like email phishing attacks are a leading cause of data breaches, and the first step in building a phishing attack is to gather information like what is found on data broker sites. Employees are being targeted not only through their corporate email, but also personal email, social media, and via text and calls. This information is leveraged by criminals to build these attacks; and without intervention to remove this sensitive data, it is easily obtainable through a simple search of online data brokers on the web.

PrivacyBrain crawls the web to find employee data on dozens of data brokers and phone number look up websites and then executes an automatic removal request on behalf of the employee. These requests run in parallel and without human intervention, which enables them to process hundreds of removal requests in the time it would take a human to manually click through a site to remove just one person. This removal of sensitive information has two primary value propositions: dramatically reducing the threat of these attacks for companies, and offering an employee HR benefit for increased security against threats they and their families may face (e.g. identity theft, stalking).

PrivacyBrain participated in i2E’s Venture Assessment Program (now e3) in June 2019 where the company confirmed product-market fit and began to establish key partnerships in the cybersecurity space. Founder Elliott Adams began working with an i2E Venture Advisor in August 2019 to further develop a product roadmap and path to market. In October 2019 PrivacyBrain received a $100K TBFP investment for version 1 product development and further customer validation. i2E looks forward to see how Elliott and PrivacyBrain change the corporate cybersecurity landscape.
