NORMAN — Weather Decision Technologies is being acquired for an undisclosed amount by a Minneapolis-based data analysis firm, both companies have announced.
Officials said Weather Decision Technologies’ acquisition by DTN brings together expert meteorological teams and industry-leading technologies that will deliver insights to clients that will support their weather-based decisions.
“We are excited by the opportunity to enhance DTN’s weather expertise and expand our reach into new markets through this acquisition,” Ron Sznaider, DTN’s chief science officer, stated in a release.
Officials said Weather Decision Technologies employs more than 80, including 40 meteorologists, and serves clients in the energy, agriculture, health care, retail and supplier, and data science industries.
