SSTI’s 2022 Annual Conference
The conference is in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 2-4, and will convene hundreds of state, local, university and nonprofit policymakers and practitioners who support science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship to strengthen their regional economies. EPSCoR will be a focal point of this year’s agenda, with a pre-conference workshop and four breakout sessions covering topics like expanding R&D capacity; strengthening tech transfer and commercialization initiatives; and, building effective partnerships around the university’s role in regional economic development. The agenda will also cover federal innovation policy, workforce development, and capital access, as well as plenty of opportunities to network with peers from around the country.

Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) and SSTI are partnering to provide content focused on university research and economic development activity in EPSCoR jurisdictions at SSTI’s 2022 Annual Conference. Scholarships covering registration and two nights at the conference hotel are available thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available to all NSF EPSCoR jurisdictions. Scholarships will cover two nights of accommodations and conference registration — saving attendees $1,045!
We welcome team applications for the scholarships — at least two are available per EPSCoR jurisdiction — and strongly encourage states to include participants from their Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) as part of an application. The availability of additional scholarships per region will be based partly on whether MSIs are included.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so submit an application for your jurisdiction as soon as possible, prior to March 28!
To apply, complete the travel form and return to Susan Niple at [email protected], designating your two primary attendees as well as two additional names should more scholarships open after the deadline. Those extra scholarships will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, so please secure your spot as soon as possible.[/vc_column_text][button icon_color=”#1e73be” t_color=”#ffffff” b_color=”#1e73be” url=”http://i2e.org/okbio/files/2022/03/EPSCoR-scholarship-registration-sheet-for-SSTI-conference.pdf”]Travel Form[/button][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
