As Venture Advisor in i2E’s Tulsa office, James supports overall business commercialization efforts. In general, he is responsible for identifying companies that can benefit from i2E advisory services, navigating them through the development pathway, and facilitating angel and venture capital financing where appropriate. His role in working with clients includes: analyzing market opportunities, developing business strategies, honing in on competitive advantages, preparing investor presentations, modeling financial projections, and structuring capital raises.
James holds broad experience in commercial, operations, and financial analytics via tenure in the energy and banking industries. Most recently he worked for ONEOK in NGL scheduling and pipeline operations. Prior to that, he gained extensive financial experience in commercial credit and lending while at SpiritBank and Bank of Oklahoma, where he started his career.
A native Tulsan, James graduated from Cascia Hall Preparatory School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an MBA from the Oklahoma State University. James is active in the community, twice appointed by the Mayor to the City of Tulsa, Sales Tax Overview Committee overseeing the expenditures of sales tax revenues for capital improvement. He is also an avid marathon runner, competitive cyclist, and hunter with dreams of attending yoga instructor training if he could only find the time.
