My favorite time of the year is approaching in the distance. And, no, it’s not Valentine’s Day. I’m thinking biotech. And San Diego. And 80 or so of my closest Oklahoma friends.
The countdown to BIO 2014 in San Diego begins this week for Oklahomans who will be part of the OKBio contingent at the giant industry convention. Although the BIO show is still more than six months into the future, the first of three planning meetings in advance for the convention will be held at the University Research Park Conference Center.
My colleague Josh O’Brien sent details of the meeting earlier this afternoon:
“We are having our first information meeting concerning the BIO International Convention at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at the PHF Conference Center in Oklahoma City. We hope you can attend or send someone who can represent your organization. The BIO Convention is June 23-26 in San Diego. For the 11th Year, we will have an Oklahoma Bio Pavilion at the Convention. Like in previous years, we will have receptions, partnering, multiple marketing opportunities and much more. Please come to the meeting on Jan. 15 to learn more about all activities, including our scholarship program for start-up bio companies interested in attending. We will also have a drawing for a full conference registration at the information meeting. For more information about BIO 2014, please go to http://convention.bio.org/.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Also, please feel free to pass this email along to anyone you think might be interested in attending. Thanks to all of the people who have already agreed to be sponsors for our BIO project and those considering being a sponsor as well. Thanks in advance to those of you I will be contacting in the near future. We’re excited to be working with each of you again for the BIO Convention.”
Hope to see you Wednesday afternoon at the Conference Center.
